How to extend ink cartridge life of HP Deskjet printers

Each cartridge of HP Deskjet printers has a certain lifespan. Generally, they withstand up to 20 refills. Some others will fail immediately after they run out of ink for the first time. So, is there any way to increase the lifespan of ink cartridges used on HP Deskjet printers? Yes, there are. You must try the following tips.

As a matter of fact, the life of the cartridge will depend on how consistent the design of the cartridge itself, defects, quality of the ink, and their compatibility with the cartridges.
In general, you must refill the cartridges with suitable ink only. use the ink from the same manufacturer. Syringes after filling with one type of ink for reuse should only be washed with distilled water. Refill the cartridge immediately after completing the ink so that the residue does not dry out sooner.

When you buy ink for refilling the cartridge, purchase the cartridge also. Follow some rules while selecting ink. If the ink composition you picked up is not as expected, they can greatly shorten the life of your cartridge. Good ink will always be a homogeneous liquid, without precipitation and turbidity.

It must be in a neutral or slightly alkaline medium. If the ink quality is low, it will have an acidic environment. It will make the dye fall into the sediment, and the nozzles will block, corrosion of the print head material will start, as the acidic ink shows corrosive activity. This will make the cartridge unusable even if it originally used to offer excellent print quality.
Always keep in mind that dye is a coloured organic substance with a complex structure that can completely dissolve in water. Inks based on pigments are an aqueous dispersion of very fine particles with an inorganic pigment that does not dissolve in water. So, you must ensure that diameter of the print head nozzles is 20-50 microns so that the pigment passes through the nozzles in an easy way.
